Existing Products Research

 

You will need to research textiles products that are currently on the market. The products will have to be designed and made reflecting the same theme you have chosen for your controlled assessment. E.g you have chosen to look at the culture of Africa, therefore the products you research will have to be made in the country, be traditional clothing or have print inspired by Africa.

 

On your existing products research page please include the following information:

1. Description of the product and its aesthetics
2. Consumer- who was the product designed for and how can you tell?
3. Cost of the product and where it is sold (include website link if image and information was taken from internet)
4. Environmental and sustainability issues- where has the product been made and how? are there use of fairtrade fabrics?
5. Size of the product 
6. Function of the product and your opinion on how successfully it appeals to the customer.

Your page can be presented in a table format or written in paragraphs but must contain images of the products researched. Use the following examples for inspiration for the layout of your page.
